Ask the Writers
The simplest way to reach us is by email at desk@well-of-dreams.com. All three writers read the inbox, and the person who looks after the topic you mention will usually be the one who answers.
Emails we always welcome
- Corrections. If a sentence looks wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us which page and which part. We check every report and update the article where needed.
- Topic suggestions. Plenty of our articles started life as somebody's emailed question. Ideas for sleep, stress, diet or caring for older relatives are especially welcome.
- Feedback on tone. If an article felt too vague, too cautious or not cautious enough, we want to hear it.
- Questions about the site. Privacy, cookies, permission to quote a passage or anything else about how Well of Dreams works.
- Partnership enquiries. Organisations interested in a mention or a cooperation can write to the same address; we decide case by case and keep our usual cautious tone in every piece.
What we cannot help with
We are writers, not clinicians, so we cannot comment on personal symptoms, test results, medicines or doses, and we cannot say whether a treatment is right for you or a relative. If you send a question like that, we will kindly point you towards a GP, pharmacist or other professional. For anything urgent, please call your local emergency number rather than emailing.
To protect your privacy, please keep health details out of your message unless they are essential to your question.
When to expect a reply
We are a small team and fit the site around other commitments. Most messages receive a reply within a week. Corrections are prioritised, and you may notice the article change before our email reaches you. We do not reply to automated mailings or obvious advertising.
Before you write
You may find your answer faster on one of these pages:
- About Well of Dreams explains what the site covers and how it is run.
- This Is Not Medical Advice sets out the limits of what we publish.
- Privacy Commitments covers what happens to your email once it reaches us.
We are grateful to everyone who writes in. Reader messages shape what we write next, and many of the most useful corrections on the site came from someone who noticed a small detail and cared enough to mention it.
A note on writing in
What helps us reply well
Tell us which page you were reading and which sentence caught your eye. A link or a short quote saves us a lot of searching.
Please leave personal health details out unless they truly matter to the question. Advising on them is beyond us, and keeping them is something we prefer to avoid.

None of this is required, but it helps us answer faster.

- What looked wrong, unclear or missing
- A source, if you have one to hand
- A line saying if you hope to hear back
