Well of Dreams is a small health reading site. We wanted this page to be short enough to finish and plain enough to understand, so here is the essence first: we do not run analytics, we do not show adverts and we do not use tracking scripts. The site is made of static pages that are delivered to your browser and do not ask you to log in or create an account.

Who is responsible

The site is run by the Well of Dreams editorial team. For anything related to privacy you can write to desk@well-of-dreams.com. We read every message ourselves.

Information we do not collect

  • No visitor counting, click maps or recordings of how you scroll.
  • No advertising networks, retargeting pixels or social media trackers.
  • No newsletter sign-up, comment system or user accounts.
  • No embedded content from third parties that sets its own cookies.

Your cookie choice

On a first visit, a little card invites you to accept or decline optional storage. Whichever you choose is saved in your browser's local storage so the notice does not reappear on every page. That single entry stays on your device; it is never sent to us. Deleting the stored data for well-of-dreams.com in your browser settings erases that entry at once. More detail is on our page about the cookies we use.

Hosting and server logs

Our pages reach you through a hosting company, as with any site on the web. When your browser requests a page, the provider's servers may briefly record technical details such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser type. These logs exist to keep the service running securely, to prevent abuse and to diagnose faults. We do not use them to build profiles of readers, and they are kept only for a limited period by the provider in line with its own retention rules.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website.

When you email us

An email to us naturally carries your address, any name you sign with and the contents you decide to share. That information is used for one purpose only: replying to you. Please do not send detailed medical information; we are not clinicians and cannot advise on personal health matters. We delete correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless we need to keep it to resolve a dispute or meet a legal duty. We never sell or share your messages with marketing companies.

Your rights

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, you have rights over your personal data. These include the right to:

  1. find out which details about you we keep, and obtain a copy of them;
  2. have inaccurate data corrected;
  3. ask us to erase data we no longer have a reason to hold;
  4. limit, or raise objections to, particular uses of your data;
  5. receive your data in a portable format where applicable;
  6. lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Any of these requests can be sent to the desk address near the top of this page. We will reply within the time required by law, usually within one month.

Links to other websites

Some articles link to other organisations' websites. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, and we suggest reading it before sharing any details there.

Children

Our articles are written for adults. Nothing here is designed to gather details from children, and we do not knowingly hold any.

Changes to this page

If the way the site works changes, for example if we ever add a feature that handles personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. You can also read our terms for using this site.
